I’ve been studying Japanese off and on since I was seven. My first serious foray was in college, and I ended up doing Japanese as part of a double-major degree, but I didn’t even have basic Japanese functionality at the end of (the equivalent of) four years of Japanese courses. After several years of no progress following graduation, I picked up Japanese again in 2011 and have been steadily, if slowly, progressing since then. These days I try to keep logs of material I work through and focus a lot on extensive reading and listening. Here you can find some of my logs. They’re not all that interesting unless you either really like knowing what other people read and watch or you are me.
